Jurong Lake District, one-north and the Work Hubs Near ELTA

ELTA sits between the two largest employment clusters of the west: Jurong Lake District, a few stops along the East-West Line, and the research and media precincts of one-north and the Science Park. This guide sets out each, with the developer’s travel times.

Jurong Lake District from ELTA

Jurong Lake District is planned as the largest business district outside the city centre. The developer’s brochure describes a 410-hectare mixed-use district taking in Jurong Gateway, the International Business Park and Lakeside, with 100,000 new jobs and 20,000 new homes planned by 2040 to 2050 and about 1.4 million square metres of space for offices, shops and institutions.

The 90-hectare Jurong Lake Gardens, a new Science Centre and a waterfront are part of the plan, and the Cross Island Line will reach the district from Clementi. The developer’s table gives about nine minutes by car, or one stop by train to Jurong East.
